POVray is an open-source 3D rendering program. It creates realistic images using ray-tracing, a process by which the software calculates where and how light reflects off objects and into view.

POVray does not use a graphical modeller but reads it's own programming language from a text editor. While this can be a challenge (especially for those of us that are coding impaired), you get complete control over you image. It's also been my experience that you need a degree in engineering to use most graphical modellers! I will include more info on ray-tracing here at a later date.

Once upon a time I had many 3D images to show off. Now, due to a tragic data loss, I have none. I will add gallery pages of my fledgling work as I create it.
